Robot Sealant Process Fix

The problem

Sealant applied by a Fanuc robot was hardening before it should, disrupting the process and creating rework.

The approach

I developed a new process flow and used additive manufacturing to produce the custom part that made it possible — quick to iterate and inexpensive to replace.

The result

A new process that addressed the premature hardening, built with a printed solution rather than costly custom tooling.
