Cybertruck Manufacturing Cells

The problem

Cybertruck production was ramping, and eight new manufacturing cells from an outside vendor had to be installed, qualified, and feeding downstream lines on time — inside a factory that was itself still being built out.

The approach

• Reviewed site drawings with the vendor for all eight cells across Gigafactory Texas.
• Managed installation, quality, and timelines, coordinating with engineers and project managers on neighboring lines to work through conflicts.
• Built schedules so parts reached downstream lines without delays, and worked with Tesla Facilities to get the vendor the site resources they needed.
• Sent daily updates to keep the whole team aligned.

The result

The cells came online to support production. Along the way, I reworked how shipments were scheduled — matching urgency to the right shipping method — and found roughly $1,500 per week in savings.
